DVD piracy is, as you’re probably well aware, big business. This is most unfortunate as illegal DVDs of inferior quality are readily available throughout the country and it’s a shame that many people choose to buy these copies instead of legitimate releases. If you’ve ever been to a car boot sale or covered market then there’s quite a good chance that you’ve seen illegal DVDs being sold. They’re often sold in situations like these where there’s less chance of being caught and sometimes the sellers will often carry their wares around with them approaching people in pubs whom they will attempt to sell to. DVD Duplication is Here to Stay

DVD discs have exploded in popularity over the last ten years and they rapidly overtook VHS, now considered obsolete, as the primary format for pre-recorded visual media when they first became commercially available. They became even more popular as the price of the players and the discs themselves dropped too. It’s now possible to pick up a DVD player from your local supermarket for around the thirty pound mark, and whilst it might not be best top of the range model available it’ll do nicely for watching movies, which are sometimes available for as little as two pounds each for budget titles.
